Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Hotel Houseman position.
The position description is as follows:
Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Housekeeping Department and assigned team members according to standard operating procedures.
*Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Hotel Housekeeping Department and Housekeeping team members *Direct supervision of assigned team members, to include interviewing and selection of new team members, coordinating schedules and assigned duties, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and termination.
*Responsible for providing assigned team members orientation, training, coaching, and counseling as needed.
Assists Housekeepers and Attendants with various cleaning duties.
*Ensures that all equipment and guest amenities are provided on a daily basis and in a timely manner.
*Prepares housekeeping checklists, reports, and inventory control sheets.
*Ensures the safety and security of guests and team members.
*Ensures all housekeeping areas and storage are in properly stocked, cleaned, and all items are stored and secured properly.
*Ensures that stained articles found in guest rooms are treated appropriately and communicated to Laundry Department.

- EDUCATION:
- [ ] High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. (Please submit a copy of either document with application)
- SKILLS:
- [ ] Must maintain the highest standard of safety and sanitation.
- [ ] Must have basic computer skills.
- [ ] Ability to supervise and motivate team members.
- [ ] Must have excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and guest relation skills.
- [ ] Ability to produce routine business correspondence, i.e., memorandums, schedules, reports, etc. (Test required)
- [ ] Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, as well as, use of chemicals and equipment.
- EXPERIENCE:
- [ ] Minimum of two (2) years experience working in housekeeping.
- [ ] Minimum of one (1) year housekeeping experience working in a supervisor capacity.
