| Job description |
For a larger hotrel located in Nairobi, ECR Hospitality Recruitment is looking for an Executive Sous Chef.
The EXec Sous Chef will report to the Executive Chef and will supervise a team of 100 persons.
The hotel various international restaurants (60-250 covers) and a very busy conference & banquet department (up to 1000/1500 pax) as well as outside catering.
Continuous upgrading of the quality as well as staff training and development are part of the chef's responsibilities. |

| Required education and work experience |
- European trained educated chef.
- International experience, including at least 4 years culinary management experience in a high end high volume environment.
- Knowledge of/experience in Italian, Chinese, Japanese cuisine as well as to some degree in Bakery & Pastry.
- The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on continuous upgrading of the quality as well as staff training and development.
- Previous experience with controlling food and labor cost, menu development and pricing and development of culinary team is required.
