| Job description |
Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Lead Steward position.
The position description is as follows:
Job Summary: Assists with ensuring the operation runs smoothly by maintaining established standards for a clean and organized heart of the house area. Assists in ensuring all Food & Beverage and Banquet function equipment needs are met
in a timely and efficient manner. Assists with ensuring all labor scheduling and related procurement materials are executed
within the costs and guidelines set forth by Chief Steward. Other duties assigned. |

- GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED

- EDUCATION:
-
- -High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. (Please submit a copy of either document with application)

- SKILLS:
- -Must have basic math skills. (Test required)
- -Must maintain healthy and efficient work habits.
- -Must have skills for interviewing, scheduling, and supervising hourly team members.
- -Must possess the ability to develop and train new and current team members.
- -Ability to maintain composure, think clearly, and perform well under pressure working in a fast paced environment.
- -Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal to effectively communicate with management and team members. (Test required)
- -Must have basic computer knowledge.

- EXPERIENCE:
- -Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Steward.
- - Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience as a steward in a high volume dinner house, cafeteria, buffet, and/or Hotel catering.
- -Prior experience in setting and maintaining par levels, preferred.

- OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- -Must posses a Food Handler’s permit, or obtain one within 60 days of hire. (Submit copy with application if applicable)
- -Must be certified with the National Restaurant Association for SERVsafe Food Protection Manager Certification Course, or
- obtain within 1 year of hire. (Submit copy of certification with application if applicable)
- -Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
- -Knowledgeable of Labor laws, Health codes, and Liquor Laws.
- -Must be able to pass agility exam to determine if physically capable to perform the essential functions of the job.
- -Must attend training and travel as job function and duties requires.
- -Must attend mandatory guest service training.
- -Must be able to work any shift assigned to include days, swing, grave, weekends, and/or holidays.
- -Must be able to successfully complete either a tribal, state, or federal background investigation.
- -Must be able to obtain a Category B Tribal Gaming License.
- -Must have successful employment history with the Tribes and/or other employers.
