Job description Profile Executive Chef for a 550 Room 4 star Resort in Sint Maarten N.A.

Special qualifications: The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role.

Education & qualifications: The ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree or related culinary degree with eight or more years of hotel and culinary management experience and Also 3 years experience as Executive Chef of a luxury hotel.
Ability to budget and direct financial operations and the ability to motivate, train and effectively discipline staff.

The ideal candidate should also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Computer skills and Complete knowledge of P.O.S and manual systems; good command of English (French is a plus); good communication skills;
able to work under pressure and flexible; healthy, energetic & willing to learn and progress.


An executive chef job involves many moving parts. The duties of an executive chef include the following tasks:
1.Supervise & coordinate all related culinary activities
2.Select and develop recipes
3.Creating & prizing a menu
4.Assist Food & Beverage Manager and Catering Manager in budgeting food cost, payroll ect..
5.Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
6.Food preparation
7.Train and Manage kitchen employees
8.Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance
9.Ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
10.Establishing and maintaining contacts with vendors
11.Overseeing customer relations
12.Conduct monthly food inventories with Food and Beverage controller;
13.The executive chef directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews.
