Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Beverage Supervisor position.
The position description is as follows:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for guests and employees, promoting and retaining a highly skilled work force. The incumbent is also responsible for beverage operations on assigned shifts, which includes overseeing bartending and cocktail service to ensure that guest service standards are achieved. This position may also serve as the acting manager for both Food and Beverage operations when necessary to resolve customer service issues, as well as perform special assignments in Food and Beverage. Interacts with Operations Analyst, Pit, Slot, Keno, and Poker personnel regarding service needs or problems. |

- GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED

- Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates and directs staff in order to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives. Schedules to ensure proper staffing for service and control of labor.

- Monitors and evaluates performance of all beverage services by observing operations, surveying guests, and coordinating with employees in order to facilitate proper planning and ongoing improvement of service and financial returns. Assists in development of strategies, objectives and budget in order to ensure proper planning and management of the beverage function to successfully meet established company goals. Participates and assists in developing training programs for beverage staff in order to ensure that employees receive proper education on technical and guest service requirements of their jobs. Performs special assignments and projects in both Food and Beverage operations in order to provide adequate assistance to the operation when necessary to further the objectives of the department and company. Complete knowledge of bar operations. Supervisory experience required. Effective communication skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of three years previous food and/or beverage administration experience in an operation employing at least 25 department employees.
