Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Buffet Manager position.
The position description is as follows:
To provide leadership and direction to Buffet staff. To operate and continually improve restaurants through
the most effective use of team members, materials, time, equipment and effort. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in the minimum guest service expectations.
Direct and mentor staff in superior guest service through clear and concise direction with measurable goals;
Set standards and provide direction in clear, concise manner to staff in skills related to policies and procedures;
Provide positive reinforcement or discipline according to policy, performance and evaluation
Establish, direct and oversee the training development and implementation of training manuals, policies and procedures, and job descriptions
Collaborate with Director to develop annual budget, and maintain controls on financial operation for Buffet Manager departments;
Consistently review and revise menus to reflect sales growth and seasonal trends while meeting established financial guidelines;
Develop and maintain financial/statistical reports;
Complete all administrative paperwork in a thorough and timely manner
Establish and exceed standards of food quality and cleanliness for front and back of house operations
Participate with F&B Division and casino managers for networking, training and support

- GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED

- High School Diploma/GED required
- Four (4) year Hospitality degree or five (5) years management experience in a high-volume, buffet style restaurant or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Previous experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint preferred
- Two (2) years budgeting experience preferred
- Must possess sensitivity to Native American culture
- Must be able to obtain a Gaming License
- Must satisfactorily complete a probationary period
- Must be able to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations
- Must work fast and efficiently
- Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary by department manager
- Must adhere to dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
