Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Buffet Server Trainer position.
The position description is as follows:
The Buffet Server Trainer assures smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, provide prompt, efficient and courteous service to guests, assist other restaurant personnel as needed and assure smooth and efficient facilitation of training for specified positions within the venue for new team members. Contribute to each guest's positive dining experience from the time of approach until his or her departure.
The Buffer Server Trainer:
* Reports to work in full uniform as required in the Food & Beverage Department Best Practices book.
* Greeting the guests and new team members with a friendly expression of acknowledgement and good wishes.
* Take care of all guest food and beverage needs.
* Clear dirty dishes off dining tables.
* Complete knowledge of the buffet food and beverage menu items.
* Before, during and after shift side work (as assigned to each station).
* Engage guests in conversation.
* Assess and anticipate the needs of the guests.
* Assist other team members as needed.
* Assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
* Keeping trays and work areas clean, stocked and looking sharp at all times.
* Use of MICROS point of sale equipment.
* Cash handling.
* Promote and participate in a strong team effort and assist other team members, as needed.
* Ability to review and discuss all training materials daily according to the training outline for the position.
* Administer, grade and review all position tests with new team members daily during their training period. |

- * Knowledge of Food & Beverage Department Best Practices book.
- * Knowledge of the following:
- * Food & Beverage Department philosophies
- * Position responsibilities
- * Menus
- * Side work
- * Proper sanitation
- * High School Diploma or equivalency.
- * Minimum of three months experience in current position.
- * Excellent attendance record.
- * Successfully complete Responsible Beverage and ServSafe programs within 3 months of becoming a trainer.
- * Excellent guest service skills.
- * Excellent organizational skills.
- * Pleasant and accommodating personality with continuous smile.
- * Must be able to exercise initiative.
- * Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards each guest and fellow team members, making work pleasant and efficient.
- * Promote and participate in a strong team effort.
- * Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests.
- * Ability to anticipate business volume and prepare dining room staff.
