Job description Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Group Sales Coordinator position.

The position description is as follows:

Report to work fit and ready to work on time daily as scheduled. Check schedules daily to learn of any changes necessary to accommodate unplanned business conditions.

Oversees and controls the cost of sales, labor and profitability for the department.

Read, understand and practice all policies and procedures as outlined in the Team member Handbook. Asks for assistance if unable to read or understand any items contained in the handbook. Takes appropriate action to report any policy violations or problems as outlined in the handbook, either to the supervisor/manager or the Human Resources Department.

Make suggestions to appropriate supervisor/manager regarding any suggestions for improving guest service, department or job efficiency.

Responsible for food inventory and quality control.

Responsible for the motivation and the upward mobility of his/her supervisory staff.

Develops and administers departmental operating budget.

Ensures departmental compliance with all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Ensures that all franchise specifications are followed.

Communicates with team members regularly to facilitate the effective flow of communication throughout the company.

Ensure that exceptional guest service standards are being utilized throughout the department and that appropriate actions are being taken to correct any noted deficiencies.

Conduct daily walk-through inspections of all assigned service areas to insure that those areas are secure and in proper operating order. Report to manager any items requiring maintenance or repair. Pays particular attention to safety related matters and reports such items immediately. If dangerous, take precautions to prevent injury until help arrives to respond to the situation.

Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable work environment for team members and guests.

Solicits and responds to guest feedback by direct interaction, comment cards, etc.

Ensures all revenue is captured and reported in an accurate and relevant manner.

Conducts the service education program: coaches, reinforces and leads team members in their proper performance of their duties.

Assist in formulating and providing implementation of the Food and Beverage policies, programs and training based on the specific knowledge of identified needs, the established company processes and organization structure, the business systems currently in place and the projected changes in products, procedures, or services.

Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions.

Required education and work experience
  • RISK MANAGEMENT-Will manage risk factors within the company department or division employed, in such a way as to eliminate company exposure to insurance claims and legal/court challenges. Ensures that all company, department or division activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. This includes but is not limited to adherence to Human Resource, safety and workers’ compensation policies and procedures.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Directly supervises 6 to 8 employees in the company Food and Beverage Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
